't Zandeind

The village of Riel was formed from the hamlets of Brakel, Kerkeind and Zandeind. Although Brakel is the oldest hamlet and Kerkeind has become the core of Riel, Zandeind is perhaps the most characteristic. In particular, the buildings on the Zandeind-Goorweg spit still give an impression of how it must have been here in the past. Magnificent thatched monuments and views over the surrounding fields are still present here. Characteristic is the mix of functions present in this cluster of buildings; in addition to houses and farms, other functions can be found such as a B&B and a farm museum.
