Riels Hoefke

A beautiful route, which you can start at the den Overkant. A route with beautiful views of the Regte Hei, interspersed with the seclusion of beautiful woodland. For many (including people from Goirle and Rielen) it is a series of surprises. If you walk this route at dawn or dusk, you are bound to meet one or more roe deer.

The Leij

Start and finish at Breehees. This route needs little explanation as the name says it all. You will not walk along a river where you will encounter shipping, but you will have the chance to meet kingfishers, roe deer and all kinds of other poultry. Enjoy the birdsong and marvel at the power of this strongly meandering little river.

Recreational Gateway

You understand, this route starts at the Roovertsche Leij and is also the longest, which we show you here. A route that takes you to the border with Esbeek (the Utrecht estate) and takes you past the well-known execution site, the Roovertsche kapel, across the Roovertsche heath and along the border with Belgium (here formed by the Leij). An absolute TOP hike, which you must have walked at least once.

Riel & Hei

Route starting at the Commanderie. A route that combines the surroundings of Riel with a walk along the Riels laag and over the Regte Hei. Highlights: vistas, Leijdal and, of course, you will be able to encounter our beloved roe deer again.
