Chapel 't Hoefke

This modest little Maria grotto was made around 1930. The grotto is made of roughly bricked and partly stacked stones and boulders. Because of its cosiness, the feeling of purity can be experienced in this little cave. The cave is therefore small in size, but big in appearance.

Pines can be found around the cave. These date back to the time when these lands were used as hunting grounds for Tilburg textile barons.

From Gôolse Geheimen, we are always on the lookout for fun facts / trivia;
Henk: "People popularly call the spot around the chapel "the ornamental garden" because of the presence of many rhododendrons".
