The cows on our farm graze on a new piece of pasture almost every day during the growing season. This method of grazing is called rotational grazing. Herb-rich grass combined with trees and shrubs ensures healthy cows, so they can do without antibiotics and vaccinations. By grazing, grass that has been grazed away does not need to be mown and there is less manure to spread. As a result, we minimise the use of finite resources such as petroleum. The animals are 100% grass-fed, they never eat concentrates or maize. In winter, we feed sun-dried grass.
