After the huge success of the Summer Nights in 2024, we will continue this year with the cosy evenings with music or cabaret in the garden (and in bad weather in the Foyer)! This evening we will enjoy local talent and no fewer than 3 acts from Goirle and surroundings will be on stage, come and join us!After our call 'Local (amateur) talent wanted for Summer evening', we received a very enthusiastic e-mail from The Kitchen Girls! They are happy to introduce themselves: Hello, we are Olga & Nina, also known as 'The Kitchen Girls'. We formed in corona time, looking for ways to still make music with each other. Making music together in the kitchen, 1.5 metres away from each other... that's how the name 'The Kitchen Girls' was jokingly born. This evening, we enjoy performing classics with an upbeat twist. Multi-voiced and accompanied by the ukulele, we hope to give you an enjoyable evening!Next, Floortje de Bruijn will perform for us! She too will introduce herself (although many people will have known her for a long time!): My name is Floortje de Bruijn and I am 25 years old. I have been living in beautiful Goirle again for a few months now. I have been involved with music from a young age. My father Marc de Bruijn instilled music in me from an early age. In my youth, I mainly learned to make music myself. I taught myself to play the guitar and piano. As I grew older, the cover band Qualify came my way. As a singer, I have been part of it for six years now. Among other things, we play rock and pop covers of various artists. I accompany myself to some songs on acoustic guitar and enjoy showing myself in this way. On 5 August, I will play various songs of the pop/country genre. See you then!After the break, singer and theatre maker Henrike Brouwer, accompanied by pianist Dave Hanhart, will show a preview of her performance, which will be in our Theatre Hall on 5 September. What to expect? Laughter, poignancy, enjoyment of beautiful songs. And if you are a woman aged 40+ (or her partner/child/business partner/therapist/tax consultant): a lot of recognition.Henrike will also be the presenter of the evening!Performance timetable: The Kitchen Girls will play from 19:30-19:45, Floortje de Bruijn from around 19:45-20:10 and Henrike Brouwer from around 20:30-21:15. Our terrace will be open until 10:30pm.
