Relatos Salvajes is a film composed of six standalone short films with a common theme of violence and revenge. The films are about people losing control in a culture of inescapable corruption and inequality. The films vary considerably in tone and length. "The end result is sometimes absurdist, sometimes subtle, sometimes rock hard, but consistently very entertaining and expertly told," says VPRO Cinema. Relatos Salvajes premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the top prize Palme d'Or. At the 2016 BAFTAs, the film won the award for best foreign film. At other international film festivals, the film won 48 more times and was also nominated 48 more times, in categories including best directing, best editing, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor and best screenplay. So it is highly recommended on all fronts! The 6 short films: Pasternak [Pasternak] Las ratas [The Rats] El más fuerte [The strongest] Bombita [Little bomb] La propuesta [The proposal] Hasta que la muerte nos separe [Till death do us part].
