Nature photographer Peter Muller returned to 'hell' on earth - Death Valley - after an earlier visit in 2003. It turned into a stunning photo report: DEATH VALLEY: VERY MUCH ALIVE! Or: Professional photographer Peter Muller on expedition in hell... The Californian desert area Death Valley has a terrible reputation; high time to look for something beautiful precisely there. As recently as the summer of 2023, a temperature record of 60 degrees (Celsius!) was again recorded in Death Valley USA... However, this area also has many little-known qualities that are hidden not only in the wild landscapes but also, e.g., in the flora and fauna! Originally working with a Pentax 67 on extra-large medium format slides, nature photographer Peter Muller returned to 'hell' on earth: Death Valley after an earlier visit in 2003 and it turned into a stunning photo report. As great as the format of his now digitised slides are the images you will experience during this impressive evening on "Death Valley, VERY MUCH ALIVE".... Moreover, the work of USA super photographer Ansel Adams will be discussed in detail! Very diverse and amazing landscapes will pass by, from arid deserts and desolate plains to lovely waterfalls(!), grotesque sand formations and extraordinary plants/animals. Several BBC WILDLIFE honoured images will also be featured! As a teacher of photographic technique, Peter will give many photography tips and an open look at his approach, now via over 8 metres wide digital projection... A literally BIG photographic spectacle!
