The space moves the dancers, their movement generates sound, the sound redesigns the space... The result is a delicate interplay of cause and effect, but who is the instrument and who is the driver? The Bone Algorithm, a project by Amos Ben-Tal/OFFprojects, Gosse de Kort and Salvador Breed, is an interdisciplinary performance featuring a kinetic installation that produces music through the movement of the dancers. Can the inner workings of Artificial Intelligence be reversed into Natural Intelligence? Amos Ben-Tal, Gosse de Kort and Salvador Breed once again join forces and explore the theme of the 'devolution' of technology. The performance makes us consider a possible future where a tipping point is reached and technology is imitated by existence. What kind of creatures would we become? The Bone Algorithm is intriguing not only for the experienced dance lover, but also for fans of visual art and new music. Interweaving powerful dance, sound and images, the three artists create a total experience for the audience.* OFFprojects is a collective of former NDT and Batsheva Ensemble dancers gathered around the work of choreographer and musician Amos Ben-Tal. OFFprojects has successfully collaborated in recent years with interdisciplinary artist Gosse de Kort (Interval, 2021) and sound artist Salvador Breed (PART, 2022). In both pieces, the makers found a symbiosis of their art forms and created innovative performances. Interval was nominated for the prestigious Swan for most impressive dance production and PART was named by the press as one of the best performances in 2022. "Incredibly fascinating what Ben-Tal does with perceptions of space, time and human actions." - Wed  "In the face of technology-driven objects and the limitations and risks arising from them, the dancers manoeuvre with conviction, but nowhere lose their sense of humanity." - Jury VSCD Swans "Choreographer Amos Ben-Tal, sound artist Salvador Breed and the Ragazze Quartet disassemble Beethoven's composition to gloriously reassemble it before the eyes and ears of the audience." - Parool * After the performance, the audience is invited to 'play' the instrument themselves and explore the space.
