On an immersive exploration of different spaces, choreographer Jelena Kostic explores what discomfort means in Unease. After her experiences with the location performance Blind Spot, in which she took her visitors on a city walk and the wide urban environment was her playground, Jelena now wants to go back inside, into theatres. But not in a traditional setup: the audience will once again get moving themselves. The performance, which is both intense and experiential, will address physical, emotional, social and political discomfort. This will make spectators wonder why some things make them feel uncomfortable when they really shouldn't, and why other things that should cause discomfort go unnoticed. In Unease, Jelena will let her visitors move around the space(s) while she and her dancers will get under their skin. With influences from horror films and psychological thrillers. An intimate, immersive and thoughtful experience.
