Jazz Podium Goirle organises swinging concert afternoons on Sundays in the Foyer again this season! From 15:00 to 18:00, the jazz café will be open. Between 15:30 and 17:30 there will be live music by a group representing a particular movement in jazz music and/or neighbouring musical styles. Today Iris & Friends! With her warm voice, jazz singer Iris has been a welcome guest in jazz clubs, at jazz festivals, concerts and (company) parties at home and abroad for years. She has built up an extensive repertoire that ranges from Dixieland and blues to the most beautiful standards from the American Songbook. Iris & Friends' repertoire guarantees a thorough contemporary approach to the mainstream idiom. Not only is Iris regularly invited as a guest soloist with various jazz bands, she has also had her own jazz band Iris & Friends since 2006. She is coming to Goirle with this band. Iris' friends enjoy the challenge of accompanying her in a dynamic way. But each band member also gets his due solo. During the concerts a very varied programme is offered, without forgetting the show element. Admission is 10 euros, tickets sold exclusively at the door, there are no advance sales.
