Ketevan Sharumashvili began her studies at age 12 at the Music Gymnasium in Tbilisi, Georgia. Just two years later, she won the international Anton Rubinstein Competition in Paris. A large number of places of honour followed at leading piano competitions in various countries. She then studied at the National Conservatoire in Tbilisi (master's degree with Nino Mamradze), the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg (the prestigious 'Konzertexamen' with Marian Migdal), the Zurich University of the Arts (with Konstatin Sherbakov) and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. There she received a 'special talent scholarship' for her master's degree with Naum Grubert and Jan Wijn. She took many master classes with Paul Badura-Skoda, Boris Berman, Tamás Vásáry and Cyprien Katsaris, among others. Ketevan has played solo recitals at numerous venues in Georgia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. For some time now, she has been living in the Netherlands and regularly gives concerts here as a soloist and chamber musician, receiving several honours and awards. In 2022, she released a CD of works by Antillean composers (Ne m'oubliez pas). In 2024, she released a solo CD entitled "Connected" with the Zefir label.
