"Carte blanche" for AMPA | Jazz Podium Goirle

Jazz Podium Goirle organises swinging concert afternoons on Sundays in the Foyer again this season! From 15:00 to 18:00, the jazz café is open. Between 15:30 and 17:30 there will be live music by a group representing a particular movement in jazz music and/or neighbouring musical styles. Today, ensembles from Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) are playing! Jazz Podium has been collaborating with Fontys Academy of the Arts for several years to give young and talented jazz musicians who are still in training experience. In this season too, we are happy to offer a stage once again. The academy of music in Tilburg renewed itself a few years ago, and has since been called Academy of Music and Performing Arts or "AMPA" . It is an ensemble course with international allure. As in past years, the afternoon will be entirely filled with ensembles of various sizes, manned by a new generation of upcoming jazz musicians. Experience from previous years has taught us that these are inspiring afternoons where the future of Dutch jazz becomes visible. Of course, no further information is available yet on how exactly the afternoon will be filled in. It will certainly be surprising! Perhaps you will remember the dazzling performance by the Cuban Latin Band from February 2024! Entrance is free, a free donation is greatly appreciated.
